This dream began in 1998 when a passionate family decides to create this enterprise, taking into account that Villa La Angostura was in need of having a local and independent communication means.

Thus, the offices of F.M. LAFQUEN were built in their own land and with the effort and good will of all the men at home, and with the help of a bank loan. The radio is even now located at Los Coihues 693, at Lomas del Correntoso District.

The equipment was bought and all the legal dealings were begun. In 2001 the COMFER (Federal Broadcasting Entity) – grants the license for the radio to function. Having in mind the aim of being a community radio where people could participate, with programs specially chosen to inform, entertain and specially to COMMUNICATE, the radio manages to set a familiar bond with the people, since they feel represented in their opinions.

FM Lafquen’s path has been stressed by its professionalism, seriousness and absolute respect for the listener, that is why this is the radio chosen by a big audience, and it is even heard in the nearby city of San Carlos de Bariloche and up to the border path Cardenal Samoré.
